    betting question
Lets say i have a 3 team round robin, (i can lose up to 1 game to win) the payoff is 2.5 to 1.
Now lets say i have just a 2 team parlay... payoff is the same. So wouldn't the round robin be the way to go all the time??? thanks in advance

No. A 3-team round robin will split your money across three separate 2-team parlays.

You are safer against a loss with a round robin, as you can lose one and still make a little money. The trade off is that you severely eat into your payoffs on the times where you go 3-0. A straight 3 team parlay would pay out 2.25x more than a perfect 3-0 round robin risking the same amount.
