    Pleasers?
How and when could they be profitable? I'm ASSUMING that college football is a MUCH BETTER option than the NFL. I would assume a good pleaser bet (6 pointer) would be teams that are around a 7.5 point favorite for one example? You wouldn't have to cross the 3 or 7, but you would have to cross the 10. Anybody have any useful ways of beating pleasers or are they a bookies best friend?

Depends on odds and how many points you get.

I looked it up and "supposedly" on a 6 point 2 team pleaser, the price is 6 to 1

I am a little interested in them too.. I would think college hoops would be the best for them but college football could work too... I wonder if totals would be a better route..

Assuming 4pt bball, 6 pt football...

          NBA > CBB > CFB > NFL

It's not hard to find which subsets are good.

Thanks Don, why is NBA better than college though? I thought CBB lines were some of the softest around. Guessing the sheer amount of points makes the NBA much easier?

If the lines are soft you're not getting / giving the value you expect by moving from the original line.

For pleasers, less efficient lines aren't bad. For teasers they are. But NBA is better because the 1 is worth less than in college. Also because totals are lower, points are worth slightly more in college than in the NBA. Just take a look at what a 3.5 point favorite is in college on the ML and what one is on the ML for NBA.
