if bets gives you the true parlay odds, and it is always higher than the parlay odds offered by the books. why would anyone bet parlays instead of if bets?

    for example at the greek:

    2 teamer at -110 odds

    parlay odds is +260

if you do the following with if bet:

    bet 11 to win 10, if win/push bet 21 to win 19.09

if you win both leg of the if bet, you win 29.09, which gives you the payoff of +264 (true parlay odds).

this will give you the true parlay odds for 3,4,5,6,7, up to 15 teamers. imagine you get true parlay odds up to a 15 teamer.

the only limitation is the book limit, but i doubt anyone parlay a dime on a 3 teamer.

so why would anyone bet parlay anymore? (other than parlay a shitload of money to overcome the limit)

the only exception is 3 team parlays. the true parlay odds is actually +596...most books offer +600 for 3 teamers.

for 2,4,5,6...15 teamers, if bet is much more attractive.

You can't do that pico, with IF bets, the back end can't be bigger than the front end. Using your example, the most you can bet is 11 to win 10 IF 11 to win 10, so your profit would only by $20 for an $11 bet.

There are a few exceptions, however. For one, I remember VIP allowing the 2nd part of an IF to be equal to the 1st one plus its possible win amount.

            Vip still allows this.

Unfortunately my limits have been cut to $100 at Vip, so I left. Any other places allow larger bets on the 2nd part of the If?

spiro allowed you to do this. that is why i think they're the best book out there besides pinny and matchbook.

one time i wagers to win 5 dollars if win only to win 2000 dollars.

ok i am answering my own question here. book do offer true parlay odds, so you're not getting any advantage by doing if bets. i got the wrong parlay odds because the books has a different set of odds for all -110 parlays.

if bet will not give you any advantage over parlays.
