Explain Derivatives

Im sorry if this has been answered before, what is the difference from a derivative bet and a prop bet,
derivatives are half , quarter lines only?

Derivative is something thats priced off something else, ie, first quarter total should be X given a game total of Y.

Prop bet may or may not be a derivative bet as well, total runs/hits/errors for example would be priced mostly off the game total.
