Betfair odds question

What is the formula to convert odds from BetFair so that the 5% comission is taken into account? Is it:

decimal odds - .05*(decimal odds - 1)

correct

In my spreadsheet I have next format:

((DO-1)*0.95)+1

But it's same!

i am probably incorrect but why do you use 5%? the 5% commission only occurs in about 55% of the time (if you are a very could handicapper) so shouldn't you use 5/0.55= 2.75% ? till this is the avg commission you will pay?
