What is the standard for baseball openers? I've been using the opening line from Bookmaker for basketball this season which seeems to have the earliest lines.

I don't ever use a single book as the "opener" since even the best book can make mistakes. I prefer having the opening market number, which is when at least 4 or 5 books have lines out and any mistakes have been ironed out.

Pinnacle and Cris came out about the same time last year. They were often quite different (but not scalpable).

Most books that hang the early baseball lines will hang out a .30 cent line these days to prevent scalping opportunities.

The Greek usually puts lines up earlier than most books, from what I have noticed.
