#40Sorry if I am not seeing something,
but taking middling, whoring, scalping, ect aside, what is the point of these live odds? If you decide to bet on a team at -150, I don't see the big problem if you get it at -155.Comment -

Hope this helps.
the problem taking -155 instead for -150 is that if you bet 1550 to win 1000. instead its better take 1550 to win 1039. So its a difference on $39. for big bets. To win long run you earn a lot always take the best lines.Comment -

#43This example was the difference $39. Off course it all depends what amount you select.Comment -

#44Interesting, however it really doesn't help until you are betting thousands as even that $39 isn't worth it if you spent hours watching lines.
Thanks for clarifying though.Comment -

#45I think you are on to something here minty. Why would it help me to pay less for something when I can buy it for more. I love spending extra money and giving it away. I want to bet a game and look at lines from 10 books, it takes roughly 30 seconds and saves me money every single time I bet on a game, but why do that, it isnt even worth it. Why get extra points and half points on games, I dont even think points matter in most games. Mint, your work is genius, count me as a loyal disciple of your visionary work.Comment -

Suppose for a second that -150 is the ´correct´ price and will therefore win 60% of the time. Place 100 bets at -150, you break even, right?
Place those same 100 bets at -155, you lose 1.3 units.
Furthermore ´line shopping´will generally yield a significantly bigger differential than that so much so that often the decision whether to risk being limited by taking the best available (mostly Euro books admittedly).Comment -

#49Originally posted by Johnny 55Sports Insights is the most god awful piece of trash I have ever seen. I was a member there and none of there live numbers are accurate and all of their alerts are complete nonsense, they cant even flash you arb alerts because they cant figure out the Matchbook commission structure, pathetic company and a complete waste of money for something that you can get for free. They also dont even have as many books offered as SBR Odds.
I agree 100%, take the betting data with a grain of salt. Secondly, I can assure you the so called # of gamblers and amounts of money casinos provide to SportsInsights and the like are incorrect. No casino in their right mind would ever give out such vital information, it would be suicide.Comment -
