    Live Betting Line History
Want to try and backtest some theories but need line history information for live betting. Anyone have any ideas where I could procure such a thing? Specifically NBA where teams go on crazy runs and live betting may be advantageous.

I create all my own records but live the line histories I have will be time stamped for the entire game. Unless you were there, or analyzed it immediately, it will be tough to pair the specific situation with the specific line at the time.

I suppose you could get rough estimates though, but seeing the relative extreme of the line with the relative extreme of a score.

But that doesn't always match up, even if it is somehwat effective.

In the end, where you can produce it to be most useful and reliable is producing it yourself.

This is a tough answer, and probably not the one you wanted to here, but these LIVE markets are ripe for the picking, and those who build it from the ground up are going to be in the best position going forward.

I've never back tested any LIVE strategies using anything other than my database, which goes back a very long time.

LIVE betting also changed a a bit with different 3rd party producers int he marketplace.

Sorry I don't have a more efficient answer for you.

    Good Luck.

Bluehorseshoe - I just sent an email to Don Best to see if they offer what I'm looking for.

KVB - Thanks for the reply. As you indicated, it would be best to have the odds throughout the game with time stamps and current score etc. I'm also interested to see if sportsbooks can effectively shift the odds on the fly if there are injuries. I could build this from the ground up, but was hoping to have some insight to determine if it is worth it. It could take me quite a bit of time to build the software and would need to run it over a long period of time to figure out if any of my theories could generate a return.
