If u bet NFL, what are your target goals for the season?
1) How many Net Units do u think u can clear?
2) What is your target for ROI?
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Betting 1 unit a game, I would be happy with +10 units at the end of the season. With only 268 games or so, I will probably make 100 bets or so (Not counting Props).

About 3 games per week, max 4, which would render a max number of spreads and totals of 68 plays. So hopefully a little less due to not loving week 2 or 17, 60+ plays.
Since most will be -110, I'm aiming for 60% and/or an ROI of 1.15

8 units. No target ROI for NFL. If I clear 8 then the ROI will work itself out to whatever it is. Just hope it's not too crazy of a seaon for me.

This fall is the 50th anniversary of my wagering on football. In 1967, my father brought home a football parlay card and explained it to me. I've been hooked ever since. I've learned a lot over the decades. My only advice is to stick with $5-$20 bets and have fun.

I'm finding good odds on the teasers.. keeps my jonesing under control and my units up... That said I could be placing prop bets on Jay Cutler by the end of the year... happy to be up 2-5 units when it's all said and done haha

This should really be everyone's answer. You can't control the outcomes of the games, just beat the closing lines.

I bet a lot sometimes up to 20 bets a week just NFL. I don't care about ROI as long as it's positive. What matters is $ won.
What's the point of 30% ROI if you only make 1-2 bets a week? I'd rather bet 1000 times a week with 1% ROI

Goal #1. Don't bet the NFL.
Goal #2. Don't bet the NFL.
Goal #3. Why would anyone bet the NFL?

Asia, you are correct, I think people bring it up as a benchmark for comparison historically vs yourself, or against others. Of course, volume is great ... if you stay positive. But that collides with vig and I think a general max in information, at some point or another.
