Question Regarding 2011 College Football

I have built, started to build, delayed, perfected, and thrown away countless models for college football over the years. No matter what data the model is built upon, I cannot find a way to profit ATS for the year 2011. Has anybody else concluded that 2011 was just a terrible year to model?
