    Bankroll management?
I am curious how much others wager on a single average game. Right now, I am looking to wager about 3% of my bankroll on a game. So if I bet 4 or 5 games in a day, thats 12% to 15% of my total bankroll. Am I wagering too much?

I read somewhere that if betting units, make it 1-5. A 1 unit being 1% of your bankroll, a 5 unit being 5% of your bankroll, ect. And if you aren't betting units, just make it 3%.

If you are winning (say 55% or better) most anything works. If not, nothing can save you.

Well I believe that wagering too high can prove harmful. (One bad week could devastate your bankroll).

You can believe what you like, as can I.

IF you are a winning player, it will workout. What DukeJohn says is not unreasonable, if he has a good percentage. When they were talking about a Kelly here a month ago or so, it was mentioned that a 55% handicapper should bet 4% to 5% of his bankroll per play to maximize advantage (according to the the Kelly). I don't like betting that much myself, I am more comfortable at 2%. I hate big swings.

I bet between 1/35 and 1/40 of my roll every game...2.5%-2.8%. I have up to 20 bets in a single day when the NFL and NBA are both being played simultaneously, nbd.

99% of my plays are for 2.5% of BR, the odd best bets anywhere from 3% to 5%.

Is it better to place one bet a day or 1-5?
Is ther not less juice with less bets?

                      Same.

You just to where you are going to faster making five bets a day.

Juice is calculated per bet, so same there too.

So how about this one bet per day at 200, and 3 bets per day at 50.. which has a higher percentage>

They would be the same also, if you bet the same amount of money. at -110, "standard juice", you would put up $220 for your $200 bet, or put up $55 X3 for your $50 bets. Juice/hold is somewheres around 4.54% for every dollar bet as I remember it.

You should bet any game you have an edge on, so if you end up with 2 plays or 49 plays, so be it.
