    Calculating an alternate NHL line
    Say you don't want to use the outdated halfp point calculator to get (no-vig) odds for line 6 and you're given the following:
    Odds for 5.5 O 1.94 / U 1.98
    League probabilities P(G<=5) = 0.523, P(G=6) = 0.104, P(G>=7) = 0.373

    How would you do that?

    The implied lamdba for your posted line is 5.696. Using that as Expected Average in the Poisson Calculator returns for line 6: O 2.44 U 1.70. This method is valid for Regulation Time (60 mins) betting.
