as some of you may know i write scrapers. i am now pursuing a little studied aspect of baseball - that being - the impact that catchers and how they call pitches affects the outcome of the game. i have seen some prelim results that shows certain catchers may make as much as a .75 run difference in a pitcher's ERA. What i looking for is a historical database that shows boxscores with each pitch listed for each at bat. anyone have any pointers?
also looking for a database that shows boxscores, player stats, etc. for college baseball. any help would be greatly appreciated.
