First time poster here, however I have followed these threads for over 2 years now. Never really had the time to post my reasoning or plays due to school and work. I am here to talk football, sports, and angles on games. Best of luck on all your plays and a great ncaaf and nfl season.
Now, on to the pitt/cincy game... Did any of you actually look at the boxscore of the pitt/young game? OR did you just look at the final score and say Pitt is pathetic Cincy will CRUSH them... listen pitt really didn't play that bad of a football game. tino posted 240 yards and a touchdown no ints. Graham also added 70 yards coming off an ACL injury. The thing that hurt them the worst in this game was turnovers! two inside the opponents 25 yard line. They also couldn't get the defense off the field. Youngstown had 5 scoring drives which all were over 70 yards. This not only makes a defense tired but also never let the offense get into a groove. I think Pitt overlooked this d2 game and figured it would be a cake walk. They were preparing for cincy week 2 in a big east rivalry game.
I believe Pitt will come out and be ready for this PRIME time big east game. They got the first week rust off their chest and they are also returning suspended players which will help on the defensive end... A starting tackle and defensive end that will have to get pressure on cincy if they want a chance to stop cincys spread offense. I also see the offense opening up and spreading the ball around. I'm sure they didn't want to show to much on offense to give the bearcats much to scout. They have one game under their belt and it will surely help them rather than hurt them in this matchup against cincy who is bringing in a new quarterback and new skill position players. Take pitt plus the points and get your popcorn ready.
