My play of the week: OKLAHOMA STATE at ARIZONA

I love this game for a number of reasons, first being I am not a big fan of new Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez, and then you have him still implementing his offense with a new quarterback. Yes OSU has a new quarterback, but I have always been a big fan of OSU coach Gundy, and I see no way in hell that Arizona will be able to keep up to the offense of OSU, despite the fact they have new players in key positions. I got the line at -10 buying it down from -10.5.

My other play of the week is going to be LSU at home against Washington where the line right now stands at 23.5. I watched the Washington game, and yes they have a very good quarterback in Price, but they have no defense what so ever, and I just do not see them doing much against the LSU defense and pass rush, where as, I think LSU will have no trouble putting points on the board against the defense of Washington.

Love this play as well.. Jumped on it very early @ -11 from BM. Only placed 1500 on the game and the line jumped up to -12 in five minutes. Glad I got it at -11 not -13 but sure wish I would have waited to buy it down to -10 as you did. I see this as a 17-20 point win for OSU

Its amazing when you jump on these lines with insignificant funds very early - how much they jump in today's betting climate.

I did the same thing with the eagles last week when BM had them at -7.5 (bought the hook) with 2500 and it jumped to 8.5 in minutes. Crazy

yes fastball, i'm sure your thousand dollar wagers move NFL spreads an entire point. i mean when billy walters makes a play it might move a half point but if "fastball00" from sbr forum drops a dime you better expect AT LEAST 1 or 2 pts movement. anyway, lookin like locks urbanwildlife!!!! who you likin tonight?

This is not the proper forum to have this discussion, however, I will engage your conversation further. You simply missed the intention(s) of the previous post you are referring too. Who is going boast about making 1000-2000 wagers? My statement was based on observations which occurred when placing wages on lines that were posted early. I will keep this short - as I do not have the time for a lengthy dialogue at the moment. For example:


Please keep in mind these events are separate and carry multiple explanation for each occurrence: (none of which include one individual, myself, making a difference) In other words, any "joe" could have made the same wagers at that particular time and experienced the same event.


The eagles (NFL) line had been out for quite some time at BM and was increasing for weeks. In the last week of August every other book (besides Heritage) had the eagles @ -8, -8.5 or -9 while BM was still @ -7.5. I placed a wager for 2k @ 7.5 bought .5 @ 7:23 on August 31. The line jumped instantly to -8.5 then -9 then came back down. Again just stating my observations as fostering information on these forums can (sometimes) lead to improved decision making.




Secondly, the OSU line came out on 9/2 @ 6:38 @ -11. I placed a wager via BM @ 6:57 at -11. The line then proceed to jump to -11.5 @ 6:58 and even further until it began to drop. Again just stating my observations. I am not implying that I have magical powers to move the line in any direction placing 1000-2000 wagers - far from it - Just giving my insight to what occurred take it with a grain of salt.

This. 88% (the most public bet team so far this weekend according to the spread dot com) and the line has dropped from 13.5 to 10. This should be a huge red flag. With how many people are jumping on OK State after beating up a glorified high school team, this line should have jumped to the 14 mark, not towards 10. Books are going to clean up here.
