    Conference Chalk thread 2012
    I'll be posting my picks to this thread on a weekly basis. Haven't posted consistently on here in the past so I guess we'll see what I'm made of. To give a little background - I started betting college football in 2006 (casually) and got more serious in 2008; since then have made about 150 plays per year. I have made a profit each year other than '09 (last year I finished 81-60-1). I also run a blog (conferencechalk.com) where I do write-ups for Big Ten and starting this year, my personal picks. Hope I can help out!

    Week 1 ATS *favorite plays
    *Washington -14.5 vs San Diego St
    *Michigan St -7 vs Boise
    Minnesota -8.5 @ UNLV
    Iowa State +1 vs Tulsa
    Miami -2 @ Boston College
    Nebraska -19.5 vs Southern Miss
    Ohio State -23 vs Miami OH
    Virginia Tech -7 vs Georgia Tech

    Week 1 Parlay (pays +260)
    Michigan +13.5 vs Alabama O45.5 (if Michigan stays close in this one if won't be a slugfest)

      Minnesota is scary since both teams suck always. And for ISU, just go ML since there is no point in taking the one point.

          Good call on Minnesota - clearly I should have taken your advice.

              As is usually the case with me, I limped out to a slow start in week 1. One of these years I'll wait until week 2, though that wouldn't be much fun now would it...
              5 picks for now. I may end up picking up a few more. Any hot tips?
