Sharp Observations from BG/BSU game today
Okay....as with any game it's important to take some observations away from it regardless of how you fared.

For me, I took away that after three games for Bowling Green...they are not very good. Not sure why. O. Jacobs is a major talent but it doesn't seem that the rest of the team is up to the same speed. O.Jacobs had a miserable game if anyone saw. The green light should have gone off after struggling with Ball State last week.

Anyway, what should we take away from this. Well, my first impression was that Wisconsin who beat BG 56-42 just is not very good. Throw out the Temple game since Temple is slightly better than a High School team and the lousy/sloppy game against North Carolina this past Saturday and you have a BG team that nearly beat them in Camp Randall and put up 42 on them easy too.

Now with scUM in town this weekend and scUM (as usualy vastly overrated) this looks like, as Razz has already noted, a game between two overrated schools.

However, scUM has won 15 of the last 17 against UW and I am not sure how UW wins this one. I mean if BG nearly won there and from what I see now BG is not very good...what is scUM going to do against them.

As good a coach as B.Alvarez, he is horrendous against scUM and scUM has a really long streak of winning Big Ten openers for whatever that is worth. The only thing going for UW is that they are home and a night game that is nationally televised.

Otherwise, I am leaning scUM -2.5 for now....anyone else reach a similar conclusion watching this game tonight?

Sadly yes, but I already played Wisconsin at 3. Michigan is still 1-15 ATS in their last 15 road openers if favored.

Boise could have scored 80 tonight if they wanted to.

It's probably a game I won't touch. But I wanted to see if everyone else was thinking the same way I was on this game.

This game was definitely on track for going over....BSU could have done it themselves tonight. BG couldn't hold their end of the bargain

You are a fun read BuddyBear with your scUM talk.

Michigan is the real deal on Offense. The ND game I think will be a throw out(by the end of the year). Wisky will need to play the game of the decade on D to hold Mish down to a score that they can top. Mish's D is still soft as a babys butt but will get a lot of rest watching on the sidelines. I like Mish in a shootout with the wolves doing most of the shooting.
