just a heads up....that drug test was done back in september, the team has known the results for a while, it just leaked to the media. Those players ARE NOT suspended and will still be playing this weekend. It doesnt matter either way as North Texas is piss poor, the game is a no play for me. But i'd take Western KY before I'd ever think about taking North Texas. At least Western Kentucky has lost to good teams....they lost to Va. Tech on the road by only 7....there is no way you can say they are just as bad as north texas

Great write-ups pags...The last few lines in your Okla. St. write-up is exactly the reason I'm rolling with the Cowboys... Plus they prolly figure they need to put together another ass kicking to keep a smile on Mr. Pickens face after another 180 million I believe. Hopefully Auburn/Arizona St. have packed it in for the season, ontheotherhand Oreg. St. and Ol' Miss are extremly motivated to finish the season strong. LSU is angry so I wouldn't want to be visiting Baton Rouge after 2 losses... So this should set-up for a good weekend. GL pags

thank you...I can understand your reasoning for liking Michigan St., just can't get a feel for that game...yeah, the Oregon vs. Cal game should be a battle tomorrow...I also don't have much of a feel for the Tennessee vs. South Carolina game, hard for me to tell how that one may playout...BOL this weekend...

Sir Pags, very nice writeup. I don't know how you do it week in week out. I'll be on Ore St, OK St, Cal, A&M.
I don't like Ole Miss because they haven't beaten any quality team by more than 5 points. Although Auburn is playing poorly, they haven't lost to team more than 5 pts with the exception of WV. I don't consider Ole Miss to be any where as good as WV. No play for me.
I'm against you on Temple. I don't think Temple can hang with Navy on the road. I hate to be on the opposite side of you, but I had this game circled several weeks back. As always....BOL to you.... Btw Pags, Dr. Lou Holtz said Ole Miss will win this game.

Thanks for all the hard work this season, been tailing your picks combined with a few of my own and having a good season. Doing pretty good in the NFL too!
I like all your plays, got Oregon state at -15 though, would like to have that one at -14. Five games I like except for yours are:

Michigan state -5,5
Kentucky +3
Florida -6,5
TCU -14
Minnesota -7

Looking to add two or three of these and would love to hear your thoughts!

pags gl. on the lsu vs tulane thing....Tulane has their best receiver out and he is the best by far... and their best RB out who is their best by far. plus they are in a QB struggle. And they were mediocre even before that. Done, LSU will kick their ass. i think it doesnt even need more explanation than that

but i did like a quote from the coach that said "we are a team that does not think they can overcome things." i wonder if he's trying to create bad media for the team in a manipulative way, or if hes just a plain moron.

that's good you were on those games before you saw my thread, it's good to know we are on the same wavelength...yes, this is the time of the year when lines start to get tighter and as part of my money management system I start to scale my units back...good observation...

first off, have you ever seen me post a play and say "This game is going to cover!"?...of course you haven't because I don't do that...I post plays that I think have a chance in covering, but as with any play it has a chance of not...that being said it is extremely disrespectful to come in someone else's thread (you can say whatever you want in your own thread) and guarantee (because that's essentially what you are doing here) that Oklahoma St. isn't going to cover this week...now you start talking that you "were personally told" information that has led you to believe that Oklahoma St. isn't going to cover the spread this week...do you have Mike Gundy's cell number or something?...c'mon dude...if you want to make the argument that the line's inflated that's your right...personally I think the oddsmakers did a great job in this game really making you think before betting the Oklahoma St. side (and it sounds like they have kept you and many others off the game because of it)...I notice you make no mention of Iowa St. heading straight into the toilet as of now, or the fact that even if Oklahoma St. runs more running plays that they could still cover this number, or that Oklahoma St. has only given up 57 combined points the last three games against one pretty good offense and two of the best offenses in the country...didn't people bet Baylor like it was going out of style against OSU ultimately to have OSU cover the game a couple of weeks ago in a "sandwich" spot?...I'll get more into this in my write-up on Thursday but it's very easy for you to come in here on Monday and say that this game won't cover, but the game hasn't even been played yet...c'mon man...

The only play I do not like is Oklahoma St.
I believe this is the week Oklahoma St will not cover the spread. -31 is too inflated. OSU got a little beat up by Texas last week, so their plan against Iowa St is to take it easy and run the ball to get out of this game quick so they can rest up for Texas Tech next week. This is a sandwich game and OSU WILL NOT cover this spread.

I hope you didn't make this pick purely because OSU is 100% ATS this year.
