Looking at Phil Steels publication he lists his most improved teams every year. Here is the list for 2012-2013 and the odds from 5 dimes to win the BCS.My question is do any of these have any value?

    1 Texas +3600
    2 Clem +5500
    3 Ok st +15000
    4 Wis +6000
    5 Florida +7000
    6 Louisville +40000
    7 Nebraska +7000
    8 Va Tech +3800
    9 Mich St..+9500
    10 Stanford +27500
    11 Tenn +20000

Florida has top tier talent at every position and could lose a game and still make BCS game. They also get LSU, Georgia and South Carolina at home. 15-1 to win SEC and only have 3 road conference games

I like Florida at these odds as well. They have a very tough schedule playing 4 teams in the top 10 and 8 teams in the top 35 but if they can generate some offense with Pease as the new coordinator the defense will keep them in a lot of games. As awful as they were last year they were still close in most every game. This year should see an improvement with god awful John Brantley gone and a lot of depth on the defensive line. If they get off to a great start over TAM and UT then they could very well make a run. If they lose one of those games, it could very well go downhill fast. Plus this is Muschamp's 2nd year and many coaches have their best seasons in their 2nd year. They could possibly lose 2 games and still get a nod into the BCS title if they win the SEC which is possible with LSU slipping and Bama reloading.

I also like Clemson. They could very well come out ahead of FSU and VT. UNC on probation helps as well. The only problem is the ACC image where they might have to be undefeated to get a shot. I also like Louisville out of the BE but they'd have to run the table as well.

I don't think a big east team has a shot, even if they run the table a 1 loss SEC team will be ahead of them and an undefeated team from any other major conference will be ahead of them. Not impossible but they would have to run the table and also have allot of luck on there side

Wisconsin is the best choice in my opinion. They have a good defense, a power running game, and not too rough of a schedule compared to Florida, which seems to be most people's pick of the list.

I personally don't think they deserve too either, however both these teams have a shot at running the table and could create great hedging opportunities...

I like Lvkid comment that it creates a hedging opportunity.
From the list I like Texas, Wisky, Clemson, and I suppose Louisville.
I would be hesitant on Lville, because even if they run the table, I think one loss SEC and one loss Big 12 or one loss USC/Oregon could get the nod over them.
And I like the hedging angle, because if one of these teams plays in the BCS game, they will be underdogs to the team from the SEC that they will likely face.

Not to forget that the team not only has to get to the BCS title game but they have to win it as well. No way in hell does Louisville have the studs to get in the title and then actually win as well. And with the record of ACC teams in the BCS, the odds are pretty low for them to actually win as well... I think an SEC, B1G or B12 team has the best overall shot.

I like Michigan State's value. Weren't they co champs of the Big 10 last year? They could possibly run the table in the Big 10 and sneak into the title game. Not likely but at least it's possible.

I think Nebraska has a really good shot to go undefeated this year. They have a more favorable schedule this year, their quarterback Martinez will be much improved, their only problem, in my opinion, is getting caught in between big games like Northwestern (happened last year). They have the biggies Michigan and Wisconsin at home, but other than that I don't see how they'll lose any other game. I think Michigan State will show their mediocre colors against Boise State and will ride a 5 loss season this year. Kirk Cousins wasn't the greatest QB, but man that guy was a leader.

Florida State. They essentially have a 3 game season, 4 if you include a possible rematch with Va. Tech in the championship game. Plus they get Florida and Clemson at home.
