Auburn outright. Their defense is tons better than anything West Virginia faces in Big East. Plus how can you not take an SEC underdog vs. a Big East team?

West Virginia's defense vs. Auburn's offense = very few points
West Virginia's offesnse vs. Auburn's defense = very few points

The total should be low -- if it is over 40 -- i'm all over the under.

Then I like the under...... not love but like.

The crown in Morgantown hasn't had much to cheer for this year......it will be an electric atmosphere. I don't trust either team to pick a side. Auburn is probably the better team, but that stadium and crowd is as intense as any in the SEC.

i think west virginia's defense is stronger and auburn will have a hard time scoring.

              Auburn +3.5
WV is going to have a hard time moving the ball agaisnt a great defense.
Auburn has a hard time scoring in the SEC, cant wait to see hoe they do playing WV.
Gotta love an SEC dog in this game

consider this.. i have alrdy posted a long thread about the game this thursday. auburn has trouble scoring, but u have to realize, they have trouble scoring agaisnt SEC opponents! i think we can agree the one side of the ball where SEC dominates any other conference its on Defense. also, the numbers have prove that auburn statistcally has the better D. IMHO, WVA wont get more than 14 points. the real question is if Auburn can score against a legit non-con team. its a tough one to call, but i say auburn puts up more than 14, which is more than i can say for WVA.

Thurday night games have been good for the Mountaineer's at home as of late.... Totally agree with mtneer that the stadium will be electric on thursday nite... I will not be attending classes on Friday so I hope it will be a good hangover rather than a shitty one ....just kidding (not trying to reinforce that stereotype) Really like the under here....but probably stay away all together and enjoy a good game....

West Viginia won't reach double digits in this game. So unless you think West Virginia will shut Auburn out and win 6-0, I'd play the other side!!!

                        FREAK OUT!!!

Both teams had a bye, both need this game on nat'l tv to show who is not the most disappointing preseason top 10 (besides Clemson) and will pull out all the stops. I'm thinking over here, but Auburn scoring more than 17 1/2 is money. I'm thinking 24-20 Auburn

I also like the over. The total being 38 is really a low#.
I also think that both teams will score 20 plus points in this game. Auburn is good for 24 points while West Virginia is good for 21 points. Lets make the bookies pay for setting the total too low.

Agreed. What do you think is the better pick here, Auburn scoring more than 17.5, or 38 total for the game?

If I had to bet it, I would take the home team. I think West Virginia by 5 or more. I also think this will go under, maybe landing on 33.

                                  Good luck.

i sir have been to morgantown, auburn, alabama, LSU, gerogia, florida, and let me say that Auburn is the best place for college ball....do you want to know why? because im an auburn fan! of course you think your school and the place where your beloved mountaineers play is just as crazy, if not crazier than others because you are biased towards them, and usually 90% of the people there are cheering the same way you are. its a great time for anyone when they look at a sea of orange and blue, or a plethera of blue and yellow(in your case). this will be a never ending arguement, and a stupid one to begin with at that.

Auburn is a great place to watch a game. No argument.

With the offense WV has white will get hit and get hit often. If he isn't 100% then it will be a long night against Auburn's D. I think its going to be a long big hitting game.

I've been to Morgantown several times, and I'm telling you -- if you haven't been to Morgantown during a big game, you have no idea. So laugh all you want, because I've actually been to these places to compare. Yes, the SEC is light years better than the Big East. But Morgantown is c-r-a-z-y when the stakes are high, just as they are at Georgia, Auburn, and LSU.

So, I assume by your laughter, you have never been to Morgantown for a game. So please, Mr. SEC apologist -- until you have, please don't tell me I am wrong.

Also keep in mind that West Virginia has played NOBODY and I know that sounds cliche to say, but look at their schedule... only puting up 17 points against syracuse at home? I guess we will see tomorrow, looking forward to the game
