    10/18/08 Picks
Wisconsin/Iowa - Over 41.5 Wisconsin's horrible punting game gives Iowa great field position all day. Iowa has a good defense, but scores enough points that Wisky won't have to do too much to push the game over.

Miami -3 at Duke - Miami isn't good, and Duke is improved, but Miami still has enough pride to get up for a game they know they can win and scores enough points to stay ahead.

Pitt -2.5 at Navy - 16 days is enough time for Pitt, who despite the last few sub-par seasons has recruited good players, to prepare for the option, execute, and win.

UNC/UVA - Under 44.5 UNC wins this game because of defense, and the loss of Tate keeps the Tarheel's from scoring as many points as usual.

Penn State/Michigan - Over 47 Penn State drops the hammer just because they can. Paterno owes nothing to Rodriguez and won't spare him embarrassment like he may for another Big 10 coach. Michigan is bad, but still has enough top athletes to score points on defense or special teams in addition to whatever they accidentally do on offense.

Wake -3 at Maryland - Wake Forest sees Florida State coming up on them in the rear view mirror and knows they need to keep pace with a win. Look for their offense to come alive and carry their part of the load in an easy win.

Ohio State -3.5 at Michigan State - Ohio State is the same team, on paper, that was projected to win the National tile. This week they are that team on the field as well, as they play to take back their place at the top of the Big Ten against a team that gives up a ton of offense and whom they have beat the last six times.

LSU -3.5 at South Carolina - None of the players on the LSU football team were around the last time the Tigers took a beating like the one they did against Florida. They will be motivated and focused upon taking their frustration at the embarrassment out on South Carolina. Look for the offense to open up and for them to dominate on both sides of the ball.
