usc is 6th in the AP

4th in the ESPN/USA

5th in the Harris

and in espn bcs guru brad edwards poll (the most accurate poll around to determining what the bcs does),

I personally feel USC is way overrated. I mean for the love of god play somebody worth a **** and get in a half way competitive conference. They mine as well be like Notre Dame and be one of the independents. The ONLY reason USC is ranked that high is because of their geographic location and their heavy ties to the voters. I personally feel USC should rank around 11ish.
