What a start to week 8, and what a finish. Thursday and Friday OUA games put me up 9 units with my two strongest plays, Western and the Waterloo over both coming through. Throw in the Waterloo side and ML and it was a fantastic start to the week. Then Saturday came. I lost my 4 remaining OUA plays coughing up 5.76 units, and had another losing day in Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
This week I'll be laying off of the East games, for a couple of reasons: I seem to suck at them, and I'm currently without my spreadsheet that I cap from. I don't have my OUA one either, but I know most of the numbers and have a much, much better feel for the league. I had numbers in mind for this weeks games already for OUA last time I had the sheet, not so for the East games.
Even in the OUA it's getting harder to find things to like. This is the final week of the regular season, meaning the lines are getting sharper and the motivation harder to judge. Still, here's what I came up with.
2.73* WESTERN -18.5 over Guelph(-105)
2.63* Toronto +36 over OTTAWA(-105)(I drove this down to 33, someone else must have hit it for the max down to the current +30)
1.57* Windsor +17 over McMASTER(-105)
I may add some smaller plays later in the week, but these are the big ones that I really like. I wouldn't take Toronto at the +30 they're currently sitting at, nor would I touch the Western line at 22.5, atleast not for regular amounts. Windsor I still deem a good play at +16. Too much at stake for them to roll over. Mac is the better team, but only by between 14-17 points. Throw in the "motivation" factor and that's the extra tidbit that makes it a play for me, I expect a close game, and for Mac to really run the ball and sit on a small lead if they get up by over a touchdown.
