Giving you the Fades for Week 6

After years of ineptitude, I figured I would start giving my picks on here.

I am what's known in the scientific community as a jinx. No matter how good the line looks or how good a team is playing, if I have $ on them then they will find a way to not only not cover, but straight up blow the game as well.

Feel free to tell me why it is that these plays are doomed to fail & why it would be smart for others to fade them. Jokes & criticism are more than welcome, it's all just for shits & giggles in here. If you can't laugh at yourself, you don't have a sense of humor

FYI - all picks are made at BetOnline (gotta love a place that still lets you use a card) & are for 1 Unit (or Dime or Token or 8ball or Hamburger or whatever other term you prefer).

I'm not going to give any long, well-informed, insightful writeups in here. If you want to know why I picked the wrong team then feel free to ask & I'll tell you what kind of non-sense was going through my mind at the time that led me to pick the loser.

Just remember though guys, even the worst of us can get on a small hot streak every once in awhile. Should this happen, and don't worry, it rarely does, then just wait for the inevitable fall back to earth & then go back to fading away.


Since my previous NCAA picks aren't documented on here, I'll simply state my record as 0-0 YTD, but don't let that .500 mark fool you.

I would not underestimate yourself either. If you want to become a successful bettor you can do that, but it takes a lot of work. Do not resign yourself to mediocrity and hope for a hot streak here and there. It takes work, but you can do it.

I like TCU pick, but everything else I took the other side or don't have much of an opinion about it.

Sorry Buddy, but sarcasm & speaking tongue-in-cheek doesn't come across too well online. Obviously I'm aware that jinxes & luck aren't quantifiable entities observed by any known scientific communities

As far as wanting to be a successful better, I have little interest in putting in the time & resources necessary to be a top-tier capper. I view my betting as little more than paying for entertainment, as it makes the games that much more fun to watch. I much prefer betting with friends to online books, as the entertainment aspect is what leads to my betting, not the money. There is plenty of money to be made in this country if you want to make it. If you can make your money by capping at a 60+% clip, then great, go for it. But I personally have no interest in trying to turn this into a career.

To that extent, the reason for my starting this was to offer a more light-hearted, easy going, & hopefully fun thread involving betting. I just think it's funny how seriously most of the people on here take themselves.
