Iowa is playing Florida International. This is a shitty football team. This is a team that got stomped and had turnover problems there first game out. Now they are traveling for round 2 of there curb stompage they will get before playing there conference schedule.
Reason 1 to take Iowa- Iowa is in the middle of a QB competition. Both QB will play again this week. Christianson was the starter last year in a very inept offense. Now the numbers don't show this but most of talk radio and people at the game last night thought the back up has better mechanics and a better delivery on the ball also they think Christenson being left handed vs Stanzi right handed is something as well. Iowa seemed more successful on plays going to the right for some reason on passing downs... with rollouts and middle range routes...
here is Iowa's QB numbers from last game
CMP% YDS TD INT
J. Christensen 60.0 122 1 1
R. Stanzi 64.3 90 0 0 0
Rushing
CAR YDS AVG TD
S. Greene 22 109 5.0 1
J. Hampton 9 68 7.6 2
Iowa has a very talented Dline for the Big 10 and RB. There defense is consistantly in the top 3rd of the big ten.
Passing attack, they are also getting there primary slot receiver back who was having hamstring problems last week. They rested him as a precaution.
So what does this tell you that Iowa is going to have 2 QB in the game fighting for the start job both who are capable of performing on the field. This means that while Iowa known for its conservative offense on opponents to not run up the score will be still having to be aggressive to some degree to allow both QB to have competition to compete for the start job for the Iowa vs Iowa state NEXT WEEK. RIVALRY GAME!!! ISU has won the last 2 ****ing years.
Iowa wants there QB situation addressed this week and they want to prove it to the fans.
Iowa is going to take FIU to task and roll them right out of the stadium in time for your to lay your bets for the 4:30 games or evening games in CFB or lay down on NFL action.
