It always seems to happen.

I've bet basketball games when the pace is way, way, way under at the half and in inexplicably the teams combine for like 135 points in the second half.

One time I had Stanford in a similar situation. Stanford broke a run on the final play of the game. I got up out of my couch and started celebrating. No one was within 15 yards of the Stanford RB. I WAS FINALLY GOING TO GET LUCKY!!!! AFTER ALL THE TIMES OF LOSING IN SUCH SHITTY FASHION, I WAS GOING TO LUCK OUT!!!! IT WAS MY DAY.......

Then the Stanford RB just falls down on purpose at the 5 yard line with nobody around him, time runs out, and I still lose. It was pretty typical of how games end for me.
