4-0-1 in College Bowl Games This Year
Anyone interested in my college football plays they are in my college hoops thread. I left them there because I haven't been posting all year, just recently, and didn't want to start another thread for the minimal bowl games I will end up playing.

I've had my best college football season ever and it appears to be continuing into the bowl games.

Just a heads up for anyone interested

Someone suggested I post my plays over here during the bowl season to make them easier to find along with posting them in my hoops thread. Good Idea!!

    North Carolina +4.5 -103

Sounds good Gentlemen, lets get this.

I posted this as a response in another post so figured since I had time I'd add a little write-up just for the hell of it.

I'm liking UNC in this one. With Josey (Mizz stud RB) going down 3 weeks ago that hurts them a lot, if he was in this game and the line was similar it would be a no play for me but with him gone I think UNC takes care of business, I can see them winning this game outright so I love it with 4.5-6 pts. depending when you got it. And before anyone jumps in saying they won their 2 games after Josey went down, yes they did, as 18 & 25 point favorites and they failed to cover in either game.

I think UNC with their pro-style offense, accurate QB (almost 70% completion rating) and their stud WR and RB will be tough for Mizz to handle. Mizz hasn't seen much of a pro-style offense and tend to play softer on 1st and 2nd down, I think UNC takes advantage of this big time

On the other side of the ball UNC's front seven has 3 great college players. Their DE is being touted as the potential 1st Def player taken in the 2012 draft and 2 of their LB's are projected to be drafted in the first 2 rounds of the NFL draft. They are great against the run (I believe 12th against the run) and will be able to control Mizz's running game and help corral Franklin (Mizz QB) and force him to pass the ball. They are somewhat susceptible in the secondary which is no where near as good as their front seven but I don't think Mizz has the personnel to cause any real problems and with Quinton (DE) putting pressure on Franklin and the LB's controlling him if he breaks the pocket, I think the UNC Def can do enough to put them in a position to win this game.

The only wild card and thing that scares me with my play is UNC special teams, they are dismal and in my opinion the reason Mizz has been favored by 4.5-6. However I think they clean it up for the big game and get it done tonight.

This is one of the games I've had circled ever since the pairings were announced. Kept waiting for the line to go up in my favor and missed the boat. But, since I feel that the Tarheels will win the game outright, it's not really that big of a deal.

Watched Josey play his high school ball for the Angleton Wildcats... lots of speed, but not much size.

I didn't start looking hard at it till last night and was to tired to make my call, so finished this morning and then saw I missed the better lines. Was eyeing the line at 4.5 and considered waiting to see if it went up but at 4.5 I figured I'd jump it, didn't want to risk it dropping to 4 compared to the little advantage of getting it at 5. Made the right call, just dropped to 4 at most books.

Saw Josey in a few games earlier in the year and the guy was good, fast for sure, but he's gone and not going to help them tonight. I've heard a lot of talk, not on this sight, how Mizz continued to win without him, blah, blah, blah but I'm thinking yeah they won to games where they were HUGE favorites and didn't cover. They haven't had a 'Test' withouth Josey yet, they should get it today. Getting pumped for this play now.

Time to go grab some brews before kick-off.

If you're taking Mizz, I'd say grab it now, you should be able to get it at -4.

I agree but no part of their tougher schedule was played with Josey out, I really think that is the difference IMHO.

They were extremely lucky to eek out a win against my historically mediocre alma mater. Mizzou could win and cover... but my money says they do neither.

Yeah and UNC D is not this bad. Seems like a combo of bad game plan by coachhes and a real lack of execution by the D. Still early but if they are able to keep running the ball like they are, it will be a long afternoon for UNC. They have to get off the field on those 3rd downs, just killing them.

For better or worse, this start has given me opportunity to grab a +375 moneyline.

Maybe I'm crazy but I like UNC TT O 13 -115 for the 2nd half. I'm on it for half my original play.

Maybe some of the Defensive players on UNC got payed off not to make any tackles. They look like a middle school team.

Which line movement?? The half time line movement?? I saw the line, liked the play and put it in. I watched the line movement after my play was made, had absolutely nothing to do with my play. Just thought it was interesting after I made my play it was obvious that people were pounding the TT.

Wow, really. That's interesting since there was nothing about the line, movement or any such discussion in my original pick but I talked about movement, juice and the TT getting pounded and you responded right after that.

Not to mention I asked you which you were referring to and you conveniently disappeared till after the game and my halftime bet won and then came back and said it was for the full game.

Yeah, I CALL BULLSH*t. Sorry Sunshine.
