Hello SBR people. I have had a few problems at another site with a mod not doing his job. I will pick up here where I left off their... a very good run over the years. Every year I pick a TOP play in the bowl, and this year I have done my research coming up with another.
I would advise ALL to look at this, and decide. Hey I like back 'N forth so feel free to comment back here. If I can get good chat I will stick around, and trust me not many have done this as long and as well as I have.
TOP PLAY:
Take the Michigan Wolverines -1 over the Virginia Tech Hokies
Preseason noone knew what to expect from Michigan, but I had them spot on. Across the street I won on my future wager with them, and I was very high on Hoke. All Michigan has done this season is improve, and they have improved BIGTIME. Their defense was a joke last year. This year they are one of the better defense's in the country. Greg Mattison is the real deal folks, and if you think they guy is not going to have the Hokie Offense figured out with all this extra time to prepare you have another thing coming. The Wolverines will get pressure with JUST 4, but will also bring the blitz. Tech's QB DOES NOT perform well under pressure at all.
Now for what makes this game qualify as a TOP play. Michigan's offense! Look everyone is talking about Tech's quarterback Logan Thomas, but guess what ? The Wolverines have a beast in Denard Robinson. Remember last year when this guy was getting Heisman talk ???? How quickly some people forget!! But hey I don't mind one but, because that is why we are getting such a good line here. Now fast forward a year, and Robinson is an even BIGGER threat. They had to work with him even using Gardner at times, but it has worked wonders. Robinson is now a legit dual-threat QB. Have you seen this guy down the stretch? He can now make the throws he was unable to last year, and earlier in the year. He can throw the PA bombs or thread the needle over the middle. Look don't get me wrong the guy is not Michael Vick, but he is MUCH better than he was last year. You should hear Urban Myer rave about this guy... he is an unbelievable talent guys. When he can't make the play in the air he will be sure to get what is needed on the ground. Tech's defense's is going to want to quit on the field by the time we roll into the 4th quarter. They just won't be ready for this.
Now look not only is Denard playing great football, but Michigan's offensive line has played outstanding. They got a little banged up down the stretch, but look guys they are going to have plenty of time to rest up. Your going to get a great performance out of them, and HOKE is one of the better offensive line coaches in the country.
I haven't even touched on the goods yet. So here it goes. What really makes this game a no brainer? What makes this game so beautiful for Michigan ?? What makes the oddmakers totally line this game up BEGGING for TECH dollars??? The Hokies are beat up all the HELL. This is really incredible guys the hokies have lost their 2 best defensive tackles since the season started, AND they have lost their 2 best linebackers. BOTH positions were extremely THIN to begin with.. thin got it? I am saying they had pretty much ZERO depth!!!! This is a defensive front that was ONE OF THE WORST against the run last year when it was all said and done!!! Now they are down their best players, and went from having hardly anyone to plug in to having NOONE to plug in.
What are they going to do against this Michigan team? Michigan offensive line will MAUL you. They will run run run, and run some more. Then after they do that Robinson will hit you up for a 20 yard pass. Guys by the time the 4th quarter comes this Hokie team is going to be so demoralized they are going to be begging to come out of the game. The couple players Tech has that will be looking to jump ship to the NFL will pack it in even sooner!
What a GREAT matchup we have here my friends. I am going to take advantage of this... The question is... ARE YOU ?

*I played this earlier before I joined up on the site. The line is now 1.5-2. If you like Michigan I would play this soon, because there is a good chance sharp money pushes this to -3. There will be many on the Hokies though so we might be OK.
