Ride the SEC train. Best conference for a reason

seems like the way to go ats. i think the lower sec teams often overwhelm the lower teams from other conferences with their size and speed in bowl games...seen it many times.

one has to consider the teams playing. MWC record is good there because of TCU and Boise, other teams in that division...hmm

Not just Boise and TCU, MWC SD St, Air Force, Wyoming have covered in bowls lately.
And dont forget, though it was early, Boise this yr came in and blew out a pretty good SEC Georgia team in Atlanta. SO the level of competition still looks good.
But yes, there are other factors, and when the games are played, early dogs that are thrilled to be in a bowl against fat favorites that are pissed, where the games were played in proximity to each team, and what conferences they played against (MWC vs MAC, as opposed to MWC vs SEC, who played who...).
But this helps, is a factor.

Well the linemakers have caught up to them, no more SEC dogs... still like SEC in the right situations and the games line up well for the SEC this yr IMO. Good matchups, small lines, I do not think any of them are disapointed in the team they are playing.
Last yr GA was bored and pissed to play UCF and was 7 pt favorite while UCF was jacked up to play an SEC team and won SU in a yawner. And that all time classic Ala vs Utah a few yrs ago in a COMPLETE letdown.
But nothing like that this yr IMO though.
But a SEC team or two might come out flat and treat the game like a holiday vacation, you never know some coaches push the kids hard and sometimes the coaches do not care that much, make it a "treat". Depends on priority and level of game, location, all of that.
If they are pushed by Spurrier, So Carolina will PUMMEL Nebraska, to beat South Carolina's "D" you need a pocket passer. And Big 12 has sucked ATS... I know Nebraska is Big 10 now... but...!

The SEC has had it's problems over the last two years. 11/9 S/U. 10//10 ATS. That tells me nothing. What those charts tell me is that you play the teams, not the conferences. Examples: Alabama is 2-0 ATS in their last towo bowl games. Arkansas is 0-2. In actual game match ups, La. Tech is 1-0 ATS in the past three years in bowl games, while TCU is 0-3 ATS in that time period, even though they are 2-1 S/U.

Today: MWC-MAC, MAC-WAC, MWC-SUNBELT. this year kind of looks like equal quality judging from last year
