Early. Remember, Arkansas was up 14-0. We all know what happen there.
I do hope Georgia wins this game though.

looking good mike
I don't have a play on the game. If the score looks the same I may grab LSU -6 to -7 at the half if I can.

My question is does a team that doesn't win their conference deserve to go to the National Title Game? I totally understand how good they've been all season, but if Georgia wins this game, we're looking at an NC matchup between two teams (Bama & LSU) from the same division/conference and neither of them are even conference champs...
That's messed up.

I totally agree.
Especially if Oklahoma State wins tonight.

I don't know about that. From the rules, describing this exact scenario in detail:
No more than two teams from any one conference may receive berths in BCS games unless two non-champions from a BCS conference finish as the top two teams in the final BCS standings, in which case they will meet in the National Title Game while their conference champion will play in their conference's BCS bowl game.

LSU will still win this.
I've never seen a team get more fortunate bounces. They're fine.

You cannot be serious with this thread? Exposed? You can't expect a team to demolish opponents all 4 quarters for 12 games.

Georgia might be the best team in the country if they win. Definitely deserve to play in a bcs game

I just looked at the BCS rankings criteria, and I always thought the championship games didn't count in the rankings, but they carry full weight. It seems to me that a loss to Georgia not only knocks down LSU a bit, but also Alabama because devaluing LSU makes the Tide's loss look a little worse. OK State really does have a legit opportunity to steal one of those spots in the NC game with a win tonight.
This is partially wishful thinking as I have a 10-1 future on OK State to win the NC game, but with 2/3 of the weight in the rankings coming from opinion poll, it wouldn't be crazy to see a big effort from the Cowboys pull them up in the wake of "LSU wasn't as good as we thought" mentality that almost always follows a top team losing a game (whether it's justified or not). I think there's a certain subconscious aversion to voting for a team that just lost a big game, and there's definitely a strong sentiment that a title game between two teams from the same division is BS.
This might all be a moot point if LSU wins the game, but it bears consideration.

Wow. They just showed that the LSU TD shouldn't of counted. Returner flipped the ball to ref before crossing the goalline.

Amazing. Only 8 total yards on offense in the first half and a TD return that shouldn't have counted. Can anyone tell me LSU has deserved to win this game so far and keep a straight face?

0 first downs in first half by LSU.
First time in SEC history that a team was held without a first down in the first half.

Not saying he didn't flip it before the goal line but that angle is skewed so it will exaggerate it a little bit. Notice the camera is not right down the line.

Of course, but that doesn't take away from the fact that we just watched one of the most pathetic 1H performances any SEC team has ever put up.

the only thing the matters is the final score of the game. first half stats, lucky bounces, none of that stuff matters.

True. But it rubs salt in the wounds for those that think a SEC vs SEC NC game that's actually a rematch of a previously boring game is a disappointment.

I don't care if they win by 30, that missed call on the punt return was HUGE. Georgia had all the momentum.
