    Ball St and Northern Illinois
N.I. Q.B.Chandler Harnish is the small school version of Michigan Denard Robinson, and is responsible for 29 td this season. He has rush for over 1000 yards and averaging about 8 yards a carry also along with Harnish, Jasmine Hopkins has been able to pick up big yardarge and get into the endzone more often than not.Ball St. will certainly have their hands full defensively on Tuesday, but their stats on “D” are slightly skewed as they have been hammered by the out of conference opponents this year. This team has no middle ground. Either they keep a game close and pull out a win or they get crushed. They’ve been outscored in their 4 losses by a total of 186-48, and haven’t been overly impressive in their wins as 5 of them have come by a touchdown or less. These numbers don’t bode well for the Cardinals as they hit the road for this weekday match-up with one of the most explosive teams in the conference. Ball St.QB Kieth Wenning is a solid college quarterback, but he doesn’t have the weapons surrounding him to keep this team above water in the MAC. Combining for just 376 yards per game offensively isn’t good in college football, and certainly isn’t good enough to keep a team ahead that allows 33 points per game. Ball St will need running backs Jahwan Edwards and Barrington Scott to have career days and their defense to force a handful of turnovers for this game to be within reach. Despite being separated by just 1 game in their overall standings and in the MAC West division their is a big difference between these two teams. N.I. has 8 returning offensive players back from last years's team which defeated them (59-21)The Huskie blocked 3 punts in that game and.C.Harnish throwing for 247 yards and 2 t.d. and the NIU defense held Ball State to just 268 yards and two-of-10 third down conversions. Ball State punted eight times in that game.N.I. is calling this game the BLACK OUT GAME and will be fired up since they hav'nt played at home for a month. N.I. has won 13 of their last 14 and 10 straight home games. I see a game where Ball St. will try to hard not to turn the ball over and get to conservative and their defense will not be able to stop Harnish and co and fall behind and will be forced into taking chances and eventually turning the ball over.My book has N.I at 18 which is to close for me to the final so I
'll take the under the 73 because both team are playing for the Bronze trophey and will play more conservitve than usuall.Good luck to all
