Nightmare Championship Matchup for PAC 12?

So let me get this straight.... Arizona State's loss to Washington State tonight means that UCLA controls their own destiny in the PAC 12 South. They are currently tied with ASU (having won the head to head) and have a home game against Colorado and a de facto home game with USC left. ASU has Arizona at home and California on the road to finish out the season. I don't think that UCLA will beat USC, but if ASU trips up in one of those games then what a nightmare scenario that would be for the PAC 12! Larry Scott could not have imagined this as the worst case scenario in his wildest nightmares!

28 points at least! It's not very often that playing in a conference championship hurts your BCS ranking. If Oregon ends up on the bubble for the national championship game then maybe they can talk Larry Scott out of playing it LMAO

they struggled with asu this year.

on another note, imagine if usc was eligible for the pac championship game and they played usc 2 out of 3 weeks both at home. haha

Agreed. Hence why I pointed out that ASU would need to lose to either Arizona or Cal for this to happen. I personally think ASU will win the south, but with losses to UCLA and Washington St it is far from certain that they win both of their remaining games! Arizona will be treating this week's game like it's their Super Bowl and Cal is more than capable of knocking off the Sun Devils at home.

The Pac 12 South is a joke this season, but USC will dominate next season. USC has a ton of underclassmen. They do NOT have a senior starter on their offensive line. They have 5 RB's coming back, and two of the best WR's in the nation. If Barkley comes back for his senior season, there will be no stopping USC offensively next season. The defense may be a different story, and obviously losing all of those scholarships will hurt their depth. USC also will NOT have to play Oregon in Eugene for 3 more years. They will play them in Los Angeles next season, and then skip the next two seasons. Stanford will lose Luck. So no matter how badly the Pac 10 South Representative gets buried in Eugene on 12/2, there is a ton of hope for the South in 2012.
