florida fumble

so i have the florida game on espn gamecast, and it says "fumbled in the endzone" . I have not seen the play, but i am confused isn't it impossible to fumble in the endzone? it's either incomplete or a TD....

gators threw a 40 yd bomb and then fumbled on vandy goalline vandy recovers in endzone for touchback. now they are on fla 34 1st n 10

so it was fumbled "into" the endzone. Ok that makes sense.
