This game again looks like one of those games that should be easy. Toledo -9 and over 67.5 is the inital assumption that will happen in this game. Which is expected 3/4 are on Toledo tonight and 82% are on the over. I want to pick Toledo and the over so bad, but something is telling me North Illinois will cover the +9 or even win.
The last three years these two teams played each other North Illinois has stomped them twice and Toledo won one game by a point at home two years ago. Northern Illinois yes has terrible Defense, but this game you better believe Northern Illinois will play their heart out because if they win it will place them in first place in the MAC conference. But if you did your homework you will see that Toledo should stomp this team. They could and should have won against Ohio St. and the Boise St. Score looks worse than what it is. They were in that game the whole time until the 4th quarter, they fell apart dropping passes, penalties, etc.. Then there is that syracuse game, that was a missed extra point and if the refs did their job right toledo would have won. So we are talking about a team that should be 7-1 and losing to Boise st, which looks is worse then it looks. This will be Toledo back to back home games which also benefits toledo.
If you did your homework on Northern Illinois you will see that they have a great running game and that could set up a lot of things for NI. Toledo is 27th in rushing D, but Northern Illinois has one of the best running games in the nation ranking 11th. Toledo Passing D is what ppl fail to see what they are terrible at. They are ranked 87th in passing D and Northen Illinois passing offense is average. So if NI gets the running game established it could be along day for Toledo and the backers of Toledo. People will also see that Northern Illinois has not played anybody good at all besides wisconsin, which they got stomped. Also, they almost lost to Buffalo. Should also suggest this, this is back to back road games for NI.

Because from what I see Northern Illinois is getting overlooked. They have a really good run game. Their OL is one of the best in the nation. Also, Toledo Pass D is terrible and they have only played two teams that are pass heavy teams and they had problems. Boise st. and Syracuse. I know every stat points that toledo should win, but I think Illinois is underrated but thats just me.
