    Akron Coaching = Brutal
Anyone see C. Mich v. Akron this past week? In a game Akron had no business winning as a +7.5 home dog they somehow find their way back into it in the 4th quarter. Its 23-9 and they score to come within 7 they get the ball back and score with seconds left....now you would think a smart coach would kick the extra point to force ot after a really bad 3 quarters....nope they go for 2 and loose 23-22. Stupid stupid coaching.....week before n. Illinois 31 Buffalo 30 after Buffalo misses the extra point to tie....this is how I've been getting beat when betting overs in the MAC. Just venting fellas.

Funny you say that I was looking at the scoreboard as it was happening and shook my head, same thing happened in my city in a HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL game last year only the team was down 42-0 at halftime, rallied all the way back in the second half to make it 56-50, they score with no time left and instead of kicking the extra point to send to overtime, the coach elects to go for two, well they didnt make it. After the game he says "Heck after coming back we were gonna go for it all". Well thats exactly why you dont go for it all, because youre freaking lucky to even be in the game. Looked stupid having his kids fight back all that way for nothing, such a letdown for the team and something would have a negative effect on the rest of the season.

Akron made the smart play. Momentum was on their side. Akron had won one game all season, and that was against an FCS team. I suggest that you do some research, like looking at W/L records before you wager. And you may want to remember that wagering on MAC teams is begging to get beat to begin with. Just look at the cnference history when it comes to strange coaching decisions.

shit teams that have an opportunity to win the game, usually take a shot. 3 yards away from a victory vs playing overtime vs a team that most likely overmatches them

Still think it was a bad decision, and I did my homework and theyve only converted 1 two point conversion since 2007 out of 9 tries and 0-3 this year. Down 20 -0 they score a TD in the 3rd quarter and go for two, why? That made no sense, didnt make it, stupid coaching. Had they kicked the extra point then the way the game played out just by scoring and kicking the extra point they would have won the game, again stupid coaching.

I agree yes they had the momentum but that would have carried into overtime especially since both teams get a shot and c.Mich was not moving the ball well in the 4th. Having said that why not go for the 2 when they made it 23-15 instead its 23-17 and you then win with a td + extra point? Either way that's the past any leans for Toledo vs. N. Ill? Toledo demolished Miami Ohio. And N. Ill almost got beat by Buffalo????

i think the coach made a excellent call.

fuqd over my over bet but i got to hand it to em, if they make that 2 pt convert they win and you will still come on here bashing that decision.

no matter what akron fuqd up a lot of peoples bets in that game. mac conference is as bad as the big east in predicting the outcome of games. stay away if going big

Ok ya tough to compare but when capping a game you don't review wins losses scores?

People who insist on wagering on MAC teams are begging to lose their money. It is that simple. You may as well be wagering on FCS games. Now in tonights game, on paper, there is no way that Toledo does not cover. They have won 4 straight. They are 5-1 ATS at home against No. Illinois. They are 5-0 ATS in weekday games. On top of all of that, the visitor in this series is 0-4 ATS. Even with all of that going for them, I still would not take Toledo and give the 8 points. That is how crazy the MAC can get.

Just went back and watched both 2 point conversions to hear the announcer's take for sh!ts and giggles, on both they were shocked, trying to be neutral they still managed to show their amazement, Id kick the extra point on the road but would be more apt to go for two, but at home you try and secure a home victory so you go for the extra point, dont care if you havent won a game in 20 years. Can see why this coach has only won two games in two years.
