Just Made the Largest Wager of My Life
I just made the largest wager of my life. I typically flat bet every single game but I know these teams very well and the outcome is going to be huge. It is not my style to make threads to get attention but I figure I will help point out a sure fire winner. There is no write-up here just pure knowledge on my part. Oklahoma wins by 30+ points.

I know its a large wager and very out of character for me. I bet as tight as they come but I know both of these teams very very well.

If you know these teams very well than you know A&M beat OU last year by 14 points, right? A&M also returned alot more players from last year than OU did...Ryan Tannehil is a real good qb, and Landry Jones and all his ints have proven to be OUs achilles heel. Not to mention OUs best RB is out for the season....

OU this year has not covered the spread in any big games except for Texas, who's garbo this year. OU has been one of the most inconsistent favorites this year and previous year. I wouldn't even bet OU on the ML.

What other bets are you placing this week?

Several reasons but I'll get straight to the point:

First of all Texas A&M is my alma mater and I have watched every single game this year and most Oklahoma games as well. Last year Texas A&M beat the Sooners at home where Kyle Field provides to be a huge advantage for the Aggies. They do not play well on the road or neutral sites which is their biggest weakness. Last week Oklahoma was upset by Texas Tech at home which snapped a 39 game home win streak and probably the biggest upset of the year (in my opinion). Bob Stoops and the Sooners as we all know run the score up with the best of them. Other than last year here is how the Sooners have played against A&M: 65-10 (2009); 66-28 (2008); 42-14 (2007).

This play is purely predicated on the fact that Bob Stoops and the Sooners own Texas A&M and redemption is the biggest factor in this particular game. They are on a mission to prove to everybody they are the best and still belong in a major BCS game, which they will.

I have to disagree with you here. Oklahoma has won 3 big games all of which were on the road or at a neutral site (which Texas had a bigger hf advantage). They won SU and covered the spread in all 3 games being Kansas State, Texas, and Florida State. These games were all against ranked opponents but were not big in any stretch of the imagination. All of those teams were completely overrated and are not that good, but either is Texas A&M. Bob Stoops and staff always have a great game plan for big teams and they wlook for revenge in an ugly manner.

By the way my other bets can be found in this thread. I do not be alot of college football. http://forum.sbrforum.com/nfl-bettin...nfl-picks.html

Don't get me wrong dude, I'm 3-0 this year on those bets, and I put in FSU and Texas in July. You're odds are really pretty good and OU is real pissed, but dude, this is CHOKLAHOMA we're talking about! OU is the only team I know that consistently gets favored by 20 and loses straight up...TTech 2011, BYU 2009, Colorado 2007...These are major upsets every other year! And if Bob Stoops was so good with big games, then why hasn't he beat anyone except for Connecticuit? Even his nickname in Norman is Big Game Bob for a reason, lol.

I still think you're odds to cover are good, but I don't see anything to think it's a lock. Without Von Miller this defense is not the same D that held OU to 19 last year, but all I know is that Tech found weaknesses in Oklahoma's passing defense, and Tannehill can sling the ball. OU also doesn't do well versus good passing quarterbacks. FL St, Texas, and K State all have very big ?s at QB, and had Oklahoma not been beaten already than I'd be calling this for an upset. All the luck to you man, I might even tail you on this one, but I want to find out who's in and out.

Are you betting other teams/games? I always place a few other safety bets so I can at least break even if I lose my #1, but it sounds like you're going real big! Boomer Sooner

Ideally all big 12 and ranked games are big, but look beyond this season. Bob Stoops loves to get upset and lose bowl games.

--agreed but then he likes to run it up on teams after he gets upset, and of course before the bowl game

                          I like OU.

Surely they can't lose twice in a row in Norman. And if they're not losing, I like them to win big. Jamell Fleming (corner) should be playing, which will help tremendously. His replacement didn't have a wonderful game vs. TTech.

I watched a press conference of Bob Stoops and Oklahoma players. They are playing as hard as ever, planning on making a run at a big BCS game. I like the confidence the players and coaches had. What i liked most is that they are not content with just making it to another bowl game, they want a BCS game. Tomorrow should be a great game to watch. The best of luck to everyone!

This is a tough game to cap..-13 is an underdog spread. If the line was 17 I would like oklahoma more!

Texas A&M can score points..so can Oklahoma. I watch A&M get used and abused by Arkansas's passing offense. At the same time...Oklahoma has trouble with good offenses (ie Tex Tech). This is going to be a shoot out!

I'm not touching this one..good luck

I will play devils advocate here and ask a few questions on this particular line and why the little movement. You always have to ask yourself, "Does Vegas know something we don't know here?" Despite 82& of the public betting on Oklahoma why has the line only moved half a point?

                                                      Reasons to bet against oklahoma:
                                                      • Texas A&M has a dominant front line and a great running game
                                                      • Oklahoma's leading rusher Whaley out for season
                                                      • There will be 30 mph and possible gust up to 40 mph during gametime tomorrow which may slow down oklahomas passing offense
                                                      • Texas A&M won last years matchup and has a great gameplan for this similar Oklahoma team
                                                      • Oklahoma has shown they are vulnerable and can lose hence the loss to Texas Tech last week
                                                      • Texas A&M's defense can cause confusion to Landry Jones with various schemes and defensive packages
I think its always important to look at both sides to a line but when you know teams as well as I do, you gotta have the balls to make a wager like this.
