Like Lee Corso says "not so fast" on Hou over
on any of the games. I have went 2-0 this week and I have had a really good run this season. I have not seen Rice too much this year nor Virginia so I cannot really see too much value tonight but I do have some leans and maybe my insight can help some other people with their bets.

Rice/ Hou- All I can tell is the entire board is saying Houston over looks like a lock. Not soo fast. Again I am not too sure about Rice's defense but that is a loot of points Houston will have to put up themselves. Rice has a decent running back as well from down the street from me in Cedar Park TX. If they are smart they will slow the game down and run the ball down Houston's throat and keep Keenum off the field. I think Houston can cover the spread easier than the total can go over. If Houston can get out to a big early lead then the over has a really good shot second half.

Virg/ Mia- Again I am not too familiar with Virginia but I was on Mia under against Gtech last weekend when I saw a lot of people on the over. I would lean on the under here as well. Miami's offense isn't that amazing and if I am not wrong Virginia has a decent defense and a run oriented offense. I have no idea what the ATS will be though.

So I will play three plays tonight:

    Rice/Hou u71
    Hou -28
    Virg/Mia u48.5

Not big plays but just a fun few bets to pass the time until the weekend comes. Opinions or comments?

I think for Houston to cover the 28 they will need to score over 50... I cant see them holding Rice to less than 3 TDs. I dont see any information to suggest they could hold them to less... do you?

It's just the way I cap the games Spladle. Like I said I have a better feeling Houston will cover than the total and if I play it the total will be my least play.

I just don't see too much value especially on the Houston game. And when so many people line up saying the total is too easy it normally goes the opposite way.

Upon further inspection and out of respect for you Spladle I will not play the Houston game. I have did a little more research and I cannot get a good feel for this Rice team. 2nd half may be the play over if Houston can get to a nice halftime lead.

My only play for tonight will be Virginia/Mia under. I don't see either team running away with this but I think 48.5 is too high. I am raising my amount to two units on this game.

I hear ya Nomar. I am only playing with Book money right now. I am looking forward to loading it all into a 3-4 team teaser and rocking that Saturday and Sunday. I am staying away from the Houston game as of this moment may play second half.

Na I don't cap by trends just by numbers and the teams abilities. Since I know Rice the least of all the teams I will lay off them. If they are smart they will run but like I said if Houston does it's thang and gets up big early they will have to take deep passes which will stop the clock and allow Houston interception possibilities which will lead to a possible 2nd half over and Houston covering.

houston 2nd half is a good play they explode in the 2nd half if they start slugish in the 1st half.

Houston put up 63 points on Marshall and 56 on ECU their last two home games against defenses that are better than Rice. Houston could put the total up by themselves. Theyre gonna put up around 650 yards and I predict the score will be around 56-24 Hou.

Another thing is Houston doesn't take their foot off the gas. Even when they put the backup QB in they still keep chucking it down the field. Houston is a great team to bet on for this reason. Reduces the possibility of a backdoor cover.

Didn't Rice almost beat Houston last year? They dropped 30 on em'.....Just sayin'. I can see Houston running all over Rice tonight. But, I wouldn't say that laying the 28 is the best play here. There hasn't been less then 60 scored in this matchup in over 6 years. The QB that's sitting on the bench for Rice had 4 TD's in the last meeting. I'm probably going to parlay the -28 with the over, but then again, I'm a degenerate gambler.

And I am on your way of thinking, I don't think Houston can cover the 28 without also going over... so if you are a strong advocate of the -28 you have to be a pretty strong advocate of the over...

There is no way Houston doesn't score 50 tonight and I have got to believe Rice is good for the rest. I've got over on 71 but I am not taking a side in this one. GL

They did beat them and Houston was missing their best two players on offense and one of those was the Houston QB who is one of the best CFB QB's statistic wise of all time. Not saying he is one of the best of course just statistic wise. If houston comes to play they will name there score.
