you'll have 8 when its all said and done... but then maybe divide your units by 3 or so.. and play for less, it may not be as heart pounding but its nice to have a cushion and not be looking at all or nothing each time you play.

GL last week was bad for me too. I had 5 losing days in a row(which has never happened before) but mon and tues I was able to get half of what I lost back. so just try to keep your head up, hopefully it'll turn around. good luck

Thanks guys. It comes down to these last few games. I am thinking, regardless of what happens, of actually putting in 30 units on a new sportsbook and still playing for the same amount of units I do now, that way each play isn't a huge part of my bankroll.

You should start with 100 units. Take your entire bankroll in your sportsbook, divide by 100, and that equals one unit. If you started with just 10 units, that means you're betting minimum of 10% of your bankroll per bet, which is way too high. Starting with 100 units means you're betting 1% of your bankroll per bet. Now, if you have a small bankroll, you might not like the action of just betting $10 a bet, but it should build up over time.

Some people say to bet 2-3% of your bankroll per unit, but I like to keep it conservative at 1% per unit.

Sounds like a thread that needs some winners. I'd look to really bad teams, as they are good at losing, and then bet against them. I've offered up the following picks a couple times for dismantling, and yet to really here any solid opposition. I've loaded up on these three, as well as playing a small parlay.
Central Michigan -7.5 (akron)
Bowling Green -3.5 (kent st)
Utah -5 (oregon st)

I also like Oregon -35 (washington st), but rarely offer it up or play it because I'm an alumni, live in Eugene, and don't let emotions get involved with my sportsbook. On the other hand, WSU is really bad, this game is in Autzen Stadium, DT and LMJ (via personal conversation with coaching staff at the MO center) are highly probable to return this week. The Ducks are going to put up at least 50 in front of the home crowd, and I'm not sure WSU gets into the endzone on Saturday.
I'm also still crunching numbers, but leaning Hawaii -7 (idaho).

Headed to work now, but look forward to checking in later to see what people think.

This is about making money, not excitement. There are many other cheaper forms of entertainment. I bet on sports to make money, not to entertain myself. It takes money to make money. If you only have $500, then face it, you're not going to make much money betting on sports, unless you get really lucky all the time.

fav's only 6-5 ats on thursday night football this year...and as of yet both fav's have not covered on the 2 game nights. not saying it can't happen, but all fav's on a thursday night is not a good thing this year...or any other year really. gl tho man...i hope you turn things around or just stop.

If its a parlay I do less than that. I like cheap parlays especially on 2nd half lines. My site lets me do open ended parlays where i just plug in what I want when. It nice protection. But Sand is right, bet small and dont let your ego take over, but when ALA was tied with TN at halftime and the line was 14, SHIP IT.
