I actually have Northwestern by 6.5 in the ratings I use. When I saw Northwestern getting 4----I was really surprised, and hoped the public would drive it even higher.

Northwestern is going to be one of my ML plays that I talked about in my thread, I only take 3-4 of those a year, and this is another one of them. Pitt over South Florida was my other.

I've watched both teams a few times and don't have a real good feel for this one. Penn State's defense hasn't gotten enough credit and I don't think Northwestern will be able to run the ball conventionally. Northwestern's defense is crap but so is PSU's offense especially on the road. Northwestern has also struggled to score in the 2H of games. I don't have confidence in either team.

I know Penn state very well actually I bet on them the only time they covered the spread this year against Iowa..

They own North Western in the last couple seasons.

I say Penn state will probably cover the spread this week but not confident enough to make a play..

Penn states offense is putrid but their defense makes up for it against mediocre teams.

Sorry my opinions on PSU make you so unhappy.

On a personal level, I have explained that I dont care for PSU - and why in many threads.

On an investment level, I am sorry if it seems as though I am always "picking on your boys" but check their record against the spread, and you will see that I have been right about them for most of the year.

This thread had nothing to do with me liking or not liking PSU , and everything to do with me thinking the line was way off....

Oh - and one other thing, Eric. I was pretty much the ONLY person defending PSU as a good pick vs Iowa a couple weeks back. So much so that now I have a bunch of troll haters on the board jumping me every chance they get.
