    Taking Mich. and BYU tomorrow
1.5 U BYU +140 - Not sure I understand this line, reminds me of the +140 when Mich. St went into "The Shoe". (Ohio State didn't have a QB then, so don't think I'm trying to contradict myself with the pick below.) BYU Quarterback Riley Nelson played his first career full game for BYU against San Jose State, completing 14 of 24 passes for 219 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, BYU has a good defense besides the loss to UTAH they've limited their opponents to 17.3 ppg and have many returning seniors on an experienced team. With that said I see this as a relatively low scoring game, and I can see BYU pounding out another close victory- like they have 3 times already this year.

1 U Mich. +125 - Denard Robinson may make some mistakes, but he has the big play capability to outpace Cousins, I have seen a few games this year with Cousins (@ Ohio State, and @ ND) to believe he is not capable of matching Robinson in big-play potential. Cousins is a good QB, throwing for 20 TDs and 10 INTs but 2010 but he's struggled at times, enough to make me cautious. For whatever vulernabilities Robinson has I feel like he can handle them with his mobility. Brady Hoke is a great coach too, being an SDSU fan, I've seen what Hoke can do to inspire his players, and his team will be intent to reverse the consecutive losses. With that said, Michigan State has a great defense, allowing 173.4 total yards a game and having held four of its five opponents to 7 points or fewer. Conversely, the Wolverines are outscoring opponents 114-21 in the 2nd half of every game, and I think Michigan will carry this game ultimately. I suspect that Michigan State tries to make Robinson beat them with his arm, and he proved in the second half against Northwestern that he is capable of doing so, remains to be said against a great defense. Another added question - can the Michigan St. defense handle the mobility of Robinson? I respect the Michigan St. defense, but Mich. defense isn't bad and if this game is close I can see Mich. winning this on a TD perhaps less.

Dammit well Michigan had its chance to tie, but Cousins had the better day statistically. That Michigan State defense in the end carried the day, even with some extra opportunities Michigan just couldn't finish given the chance.

As for BYU - was an easy victory up 38-21 over Oregon State, with a few mins remaining in the 4th.

Would hv liked a sweep but still I'll take a profit over a loss any day.

      BYU 1.5U @ +140

      Mich. 1U @ +125

      up 1.1U on the day.
