OU might put up 70 themselves. Kansas' defense would give up 30 to a pop warner team

OU doesn't care about this game and usually doesn't run it up against KU.

yeah, but they aren't normally in a conference race with, and swapping opponents this week with, an Okie State team that's naming its score every game out. plus, this year's KU defense is special. it's like Michigan's was last year, possibly the worst in any BCS conference. KU could allow 2 TDs before they even get out of the tunnel.

OU doesn't care that Okie State blew out Kansas.

We don't have to beat KU by 50 to prove anything. We already own double digit wins over Mizzou, Texas, and Florida State. In fact, we have won every game by double digits

We play OSU at the end of the year anyway. All OU has to do is win out. We don't need to be beat bad teams by 60.

No need to run it up to cover this one. They'll be able to sleep throught he second half and still win by 40.

over easily... I think the lowest total for Kansas this year was McNeese State @ 66.... its not a matter of needing to run it up its a matter of Kansas being terrible.

i don't disagree with you that OU doesn't need to run up the score, so maybe i made my point poorly from the outset. i'm saying that, against KU, the score runs itself up. Okie State had 35 in the 1Q and 56 in the 1H against KU last week, then only put up 14 in the 2H, so it's not as if OSU ran up the score. OU will score 60+, the real question is how many will KU score. they put up 21 in the 2H last week and 28 for the game, and i doubt that OU is going to pull out all the stops on defense any more than they will on offense, so i have KU in the 20s. 2011 KU = 2010 Michigan, big-play offense overshadowed by one of the worst defenses you'll ever see.

Solid Facts and analysis Tokio. What makes you think it wont go over? The fact that KU has gone over 72.5, 4 out of 5 games? or the fact that OU has a high powered offense, averaging 45 a game against much tougher competition...

I guess my question should have been is Kansas going to score enough for it to hit the over

i'd say yes. they'll be hell-bent on getting their score into the 20s in the 2H when OU is playing their 3rd and 4th string defenders.
