You will notice that the ref clearly moves the ball forward. The ref then gives a fist pound to a Wake player when he stands up. His movement of the ball was not enough for a first down, but Wake went for it on 4th and 1 and it looked like they were stuffed. The refs gave them a favorable spot and enough for the first down.
