    Let's Talk Teasers This Week
here are a few teaser choices I absolutely love

OU - 2.5 - the higher ranked team has won the red river shootout 10 out of 11 tmes. OU is better than texas at every position and there's just no way a very inexperienced texas QB will beat Landry Jones

Boise - 13.5 - boise has won every game by at least 14 points so far this year. Fresno is not a good team

Oregon - 16.5 - Oregon won every home game last year by at least 19 points, Cal is a terrible road team

Teasers are infinitely more valuable in the NFL. Lines are far less sharp in college so it's probably not worth it. Keep it up if you have success with it, but NFL is where I've found teasers to be helpful.

the value of teasers in plays like say boise this week is you avoid any chance of a backdoor cover

^^Agreed. Although teasers can be put to great use when used under the correct circumstances in NCAAF, the NFL is where they are most useful. Lot sharper lines, and, i mean, EVERYBODY is good. There's a reason they're all doing it professionally. BIG diff between a -7 and a PICK or -13 and -7 in the NFL.

I think it's mostly due to the amount of scoring in college football and how it's considerably higher than the NFL. I don't have any info to back it up, but it seems like NFL games often come within a touchdown of the original spread, so any way you tease it would result in a winner. In college, teams score so many points that it's much more difficult to have a sharp line, and teasers are less effective. Sure it's nice to have a touchdown advantage on the spread, but for the odds you're probably even better off parlaying the games. If it hits the teaser, there's a good chance it would hit the parlay in NCAA.

i think a 7 to 10 point road fav in ncaa holds just as much tease value as an nfl tease...if not more. a 7 point road fav for example is prolly at least 10-12 points better in all honesty...but they shave points off of the line because homefield is big in ncaa. actually you are usually getting like a 12 point fav at less than a fg. now i think teasing a 32 point fav down to 25 all the time is pointless on the other hand...and holds little value. just my opinion.

With the rule changes over the last few years against the defense I'm feeling the NFL is getting more and more like the NCAA. Look at some of the scores and comebacks of late.

How about Nebraska -5 vs Ohio state, Michigan -1vs Northwestern and Pitt -1 vs Rutgers? I've got those plus a few football picks in my teaser for this weekend.

I already locked in a 3 team 10 pt teaser:

                    Oregon -14
                    Oklahoma -PK
                    LSU -4

                    $60 to win $50

I actually find pleasers to be more valuable in the NCAA. Bet 20, 3 team 6 point pleasers and wager 5 bucks. Even you hit 1 out of the 20 you've made money. Teasers are definitely more valuable in the NFL. Almost impossible to win a pleaser in the NFL.
