    Money Line Bets
Is it profitable to bet money lines every week when games are -200 and up? I have played three money line bets this season (I am new to betting/betting smart) I play to win $100. I am 3-0 in moneyline bets I was just wondering if it would be profitable to keep doing this? I know when I lose one it will be a blow though.

You just outlined the risk. One upset, and its back to zero.

You have to determine what type of risk you are comfortable with. Some guys find more value in playing dogs, and picking their spots. Others like the security of heavy favs.

The catch is finding a way to win consistently.

    Best of luck.

if u like these types of bets i would suggest parlays with heavy favs that bring the line closer to even money.

Pick your spots and stay comfortable. Mix it up with parlays and watch the MLs as they shift. Last week I put in this...
        SMU @ Memphis -1600
Tech vs Nevada -750 (lucked out with this one)
        Baylor vs Rice -1200
        Nebraska @ Wyoming -1300
The ROI was 40.49% - Just a more comfortable bet to put in. Have to lose less than 1:2.4697 times for that bet to be +EV

        Week before I put in-
        Boise State @ Toledo -1100
        Wisconsin vs Northern Illinois -700
        Arkansas vs Troy -1800
This was 31.597% ROI, and I was absolutely comfortable with this bet. Have to lose less than 1:3.1648 times for it to be +EV

I have friends who only strictly do things like this, include games that have huge ML and just take them to win the first half come Sat morning so they get better lines
I also have friends who play sides

        Just be comfortable
If someone has better math to come in and say more definitively I'd like to hear that as well

Just like any other bet you would make... if you have an edge then yes, money lines can be profitable.
