Boise State -17 and LSU -3.5
Boise State is one of the best prepared teams year in and year out. They got a bye week. Toledo played a game saturday and has to play Boise Friday. I think Toledo matched up against OSU because OSU has lots of weaknesses offensively. I think Boise State will be even more prepared due to the scare Toledo gave Ohio State. This 17 point line is a soft line.

LSU practically had the week off against NW St. Miss St. had to play a physical game on the road against Auburn. LSU has beat Miss St. every time since 2002(Farthest I could go back) and none of those games did MISS State cover 3.5 points. LSU should win this like they did Oregon. Maybe close at first but the better team pulls away.

I got single plays on both and a parlay on it.

These are the two games I had circled as well. Boise shouldn't have difficulty putting up points against Toledo. Miss St. will be a good early test for LSU. BOL to you!

I'm going with LSU -3 1/2 over Miss St.

Boise St. should cover against Toledo, but Toledo is a team that can give you trouble.

You're right Boise had the week off. And Toledo is going to have to deal with having a short week to prepare for Boise.

Will probably take LSU and Boise in a parlay also.

I like Boise to cover. They need to cover to eliminate any doubt from the voters. I think Chris Peterson, when he can, likes to cover the spread. The reason I say that, is when they played Idaho last year -35, Idaho was driving down ready to score with a 2 minutes left and this would have covered the spread for them. Chris Peterson put in his starters to shut them down, hence they covered. I think a lot of coaches use the spread as a barometer and try to cover those points to appease the voters.

what's that reason? toledo was fired up saturday playing the big boy state school... and ohio state was missing several starters.

True statement...Boise more then any other conference school HAS to take away any and all excuses that could come into play at bowl selection time. Not having a good showing and not beating the spread could seem like a loss to the Tostitos bowl selection committee come November

The Boise State/Idaho game is a huge instate Rivalry (huge in the sense that Idaho still think they are relevant in the state). This could have been just to send a statement to the inferior instate team.

LSU killed Mississippi State last year 29-7. I realize this one is in Starkville, but lets get real. LSU's defense is better this year, we are nasty in the trenches and have one of the best secondary's in the nation. Our run game is firing on all cylinders and our air attack has improved. We basically had a bye and State is coming off a heart breaking loss to a team that had to have a miracle come back vs. a lousy WAC team at home. I have never bet on LSU before, but you better believe I'm putting some serious cash on this game. LSU rolls 31-10. Book it boys

Not to mention OSU's quarterback played like balls. They won't get that break out of Moore.

Boise and LSU should be very safe picks this weekend. State's option is not going to work with LSU this year. They were able to score vs Auburn's small and inexperienced defense. They will not be seeing the same thing vs LSU. As we all know, LSU has a huge, fast defense full of pro potential.

I posted a thread about these two teams on Sunday night after the lines came out, and I totally agree with you. I have put a couple dimes on each one of those games, and quite a bit more on the LSU game as well. I have done my due diligence over and over, and I see no fricking way that they do not cover the 16, 10, and 3 spreads, which is what I got these games at. Hopefully my luck will continue, as I am on a 11-2 run.

I have not reviewed it yet bruce. I try to stick to 3 games because I always bet dimes, and my experience tells me that if you bet more games than that, your winning percentages drop dramatically. I do place other bets, but most are second half bets of games I am watching, and if I am having a good day, then I might take on a game I have a good vibe about. I do not bet anything other than straight bets. This week I have LSU, Wisconsin and Stanford.

Toledo is actually a decent team this year but lack of preparation will cost them They are coming off their biggest test and now hit a better team while Boise coming off a bye will be ready for them.

Toledo is most definitely dog shit. They aren't contending for a championship, but the could be competitive with most mid tier BCS schools.
