For what its worth - Week 2 Picks
Tulsa (-12.5) over Tulane: Tulsa gave up quite a bit last week in the Oakie beating: 34 first-downs and 600+ yards. Tulane was outplayed last week, also, giving up 26 first-downs...but they did manage 3 TD passes from QB Griffin. Tulane has given up 43 ppg in the last 8 games - not to mention Tulsa owns the series between the two.

Ohio State (-19) over Toledo: 2nd straight week Im taking Ohio State to cover against a lesser opponent. Last week was a cupcake week vs Akron and this week is only a slightly tougher challenge. OSU racked up 27 first-downs and their stout D gave up 5. Including last years games, Ohio State has a commanding 446-186 point per edge and is 14-1 at home. Toledo did land 3 TD passed from QB Danton and almost 13yds per rush from RB Thomas...but Ohio State D is too strong and deep for a repeat performance.

Southern Mississippi (-8.5) over Marshall: Southern Miss was in the same spot last week and after taking a mental beating giving up the only TDs because of a Kick off return and a fumbled punt on their own 3yrd line. That was the first game they havent scored more than 40 pts in the last 9 games. The Southern Miss D has held Marshall to 26 and 52 rush yards in the last 2 meetings and Marshall could only muster 2 field goals on Sunday vs West Virgnina. Short week and poor offensive performance spells disaster for Marshall this week.
