Edsall is a much better coach than the Fridge and he loves running the ball. Look at all the good running backs that have come out of Uconn over the years..i believe Jordan Todman was a 2nd round pick in this years NFL draft who was Uconns starting running back last year. I think Maryland wins because Edsall will have a much better QB to work with this year.Comment -

Miami travels to Maryland in the ACC opener for both teams. Because of the suspensions, Miami went from opening as a 5 1/2 point favorite to currently being a 4 point underdog. It isn’t very often if at all that you will see a 9 1/2 point swing on a football game. It leaves the possibility open for a huge middle if you took Maryland early and Miami late. The series between the two schools is tied 8-8. Miami won last year at home 26-20.Maryland finished the regular season 8-4 and had a chance to win the ACC Atlantic division title heading into the last week of the season. They even beat East Carolina 51-20 in the Military Bowl to finish 9-4. Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen was named ACC coach of the year, and yet despite all that his contract was terminated. Maryland hired Connecticut coach Randy Edsall, who led the Huskies to the Big East title last year.Comment -
I think Randy Edsall wins in his debut as Marylands new coach....Miami has a signficant amount of key players suspended and Maryland finished strong last year beating ECU 51-20. Miami lost their bowl game last year 33-17 to notre dame. Whoever got Maryland +5 should feel really good about that.Comment -

While Miami will be without seven starters for Monday’s tilt with Maryland, the Terps won’t be playing with a full deck either. Maryland tailback D.J. Adams and offensive lineman Cody Blue have been banned for Monday’s home date with the Hurricanes for violating team rules. That leaves a couple of freshmen running backs in the backup tailback role as Randy Edsall makes his coaching debut with the team.Comment -

While Miami lost a lot on defense, their offense can still score. Stephen Morris is an upgrade from Jacory, he can run, make smarter decisions and throw a stronger ball. Lamar Miller and Mike James will pound the rock. Look for Miami to run trick plays to overcome their deficit, that is what our previous coach did, who knows under Golden. I can see Miami scoring atleast 20 points, as far as Maryland idk. Suppose to be a high chance of rain so under might be possibility.Comment -

I'm gonna take the Terps here but Ill pass on the o/u. If both teams protect the ball I think it will go under, but with the wet and slippery ball turnovers could lead to a lot of short field scoring.Comment
