Might want to get off. We are down to are #4 and #5 RB's, starting all new WR's, and 2 new QB's. There really isn't a good side to bet on this game. No reason to bet this game, questions of the inexperience, but on the other side you have 2 QB's who are going to go out and win the starting job.

I have 33...and I still like it. Akron is the 2nd worst team in college football. Fickell and OSU will be out for blood imo. Akron will be lucky to score a FG let alone a TD. The matchup will be similar to the Wisky-UNLV game last night. Ohio State will be able to run the ball up the middle and get 8 yds every time without even trying. Ohio st. may legitamately pitch a shutout. I'm thinking the final ends up something like 38-0 or 42-3. Still, thanks for the solid info. Good luck this weekend whatever you decide.Comment -
Backups for Ohio St. are 5X better than starters for Akron....secondly OSU is out to dominate and get the focus away from off the field issues. Expect them to come out strong and not let up until the final whistle.Comment -

The bad thing with these RB's are unlike Herron, Berry, and Hall, who are all speed backs who can get the long yards, we are going to be playing power backs. They most likely aren't breaking anything over 25 (Watch the 1st play be an 80 yard run now). Also it appears Bauserman will start (Wrong decision in my mind) and all I've ever seen him to his throw 10 yards down the field.
I hope my Buckeyes win by 50, but also with Berry and Hall gone, they are also our special teams returners, just wanted to make you guys aware.Comment -

Agreed. Hyde is more of a power back but Rodrick Smith has some wheels. Plus with the advantage in the trenches there will be big enough holes that you or I could pick through and gain yards in bunches. Also, you know that Ohio St. will put up a defensive touchdown and a couple big plays on special teams. As for Bauserman, I think he's the safe choice for now until Miller gets a better grasp of the playbok and game speed. Starting a true freshman in Game 1 us never a good sign, so I think they're making the right choice here by easing him into game action. I think you will see him start full time by game 4 or 5.
Plus, tomorrow, those recievers will run wild and be so open that Bauserman won't be able to miss. He made mistakes under pressure last year when he played. Akron won't get near him in this one.

Akrons may be the worst team to play in Ohio stadium in decades. Ohio States' backups are superior to Akron's starters. Akron's backups wont stand a chance if they play. Also, like a previous poster said, the Buckeyes will be out for blood.

Line has gone down further and I got -32 at BetUs. I agree with most of what is being said about OSU wanting to make a statement and come out strong. My stats say Akron is second worst in NCAAF and even though it is true that OSU's backs are NOT like the ones we saw last night in Wisconsin's offensive backfield, it won't matter when they are gaining an average of 4.5 ypr. Even if Bauserman throws for 10 yards here and there, he will move the chains and I think OSU is good for at least 3 TD's in the first half and another 3 in the second. I don't see Akron getting more than a field goal and a small bet on OSU is the way I am going. GL to all.

Holy shit.. its Fukking Akron. Only way to make a statement vs such an inferior opponent is to lose outright. Nobody talks about Auburn clowning UL Monroe by 50 last year, en route to winning a championship.

The fact is we dont know what type of coach Fickell is. Is he going to be John Cooper and show no mercy or Jim Tressell who calls off the dogs? Akron will have trouble to move the ball so I can see it covering but again I'm not sure why anyone would bet on it.Comment -
Fickell is already playing with a backups @ various positions. I doubt he will pull the plug as early as Jim Tressel. Tressel is the extreme version of conservative football strategist.
