They might be 11-0 heading to Stanford for their final game.
And I hate Notre Dame.
This team is going to be good.

I have a gambling policy, i NEVER give Brady-Bellicheck teams or Brian Kelly 3 or more points, ND was a dog last year in the bowl vs canes, i was all over it 2-3 weeks in advance, i use to cleanup well with him at cincy, kinda watched from afar last year, this year i am looking to hitch my wagon back to the Kelly money train but ND is always a tough play due to the volume of bets it gets

Stanford is overrated this year. ND can run the table with that favorable schedule. They will/should be favored in every game up to Stanford barring injuries. And clearly...I am not a Notre Dame fan.

No fuckking way, that team runs the table. Just a bunch of people over hyping them again like usual.

Maybe, but if Brain Kelly can run the table at Cincinnati with marginal talent I wouldn't count him out at Notre Dame. Not to mention, it isn't like they play a gauntlet of a schedule this year. Michigan and Stanford have 1st year head coaches, and USC is beatable. I don't see how you can pick a team that they cannot beat on that schedule.

I agree.
And don't start with that over/hype shit. This isn't a team coached by a pretender like Willingham or Weis.
Brian Kelly can flat out coach. I handicapped Notre Dame pretty thoroughly this year--and before you guys dismiss them---consider this. Kelly went 8-5 last year with a first year QB.....and he didn't have a backup. When he lost Dayne Crist, he turned to a true freshman--Tommy Rees who beat Utah, USC (on the road), and Miami in the Sun Bowl. They didn't have Crist, Michael Floyd, Theo Riddick, or Kyle Rudolph on the same field but once-----the first game of the season.
Crist goes down with an eye injury on the second series against Michigan---and doesnt return until the second half.
Michigan State needed a fake field goal to beat them in OT. And Rees turned it over in field goal range in their loss to Tulsa.
ND could very easily have been 11-2 last year, with a true freshman QB.
That wasn't by accident, that was because of Kelly. They are going to be tough to beat this year, and Kelly isn't recruiting defensive pussies like Weis did. Kelly has loaded up with 5-star talent.

One game at a time. I mean... one beat down at a time. They run the table easy. Average margin of victory 50 points or so.

i'm a huge ND fan and I am cautiously optimistic. W's should improve this yr under Kelly. I was a bit skeptical of him coming from Cincy but he seems to be real deal. Jury is still out at this level, we'll see how this yr goes

ND will probably win 10/11 games bc of a weak arse schedule, make a BCS bowl then get waxed by a team from a big boy conference like the SEC.

Who's to say Hoke is a capable coach though Houli? Second game in a new system with personnel that doesn't fit his style at all....

They beat 3 of those 4 last year and the 4th...Michigan State needed that fluky fake FG to beat them.
And---3 of the 4 you just listed ND gets at home.

dont u mean, when they win, michigan isnt as good as people think.think nd will have a good season but not as good as u say, they always seem to lose the easy game every year for the last 6 years so until they can prove they can win on a consistent basis.8 wins is the expectation

Losing to who?
Michigan is starting from scratch with a new system
MSU lost its top three defensive players (Jones, Gordon, Rucker)
Purdue is without its quarterback

i freakin love n.d.
i dont see them running the table.....only like 3 teams in the land that i could say that about and truly mean it. thats why i said they were my darkhorse to go to title game
the defense he is putting together is unmatched across the country though. this class of freshman this year and next years class already is unreal defensively if 4 and 5 star ratings mean anything. combine that with his offensive genius and you got something special imo.

Can't believe what I saw today. Talk about a step back from the team that curb-stomped Miami in their bowl game.

its actually pretty simple. Dayne crist is an ok qb. Tommy Reese is where it is at, Tommy reese has won every game he has started, why mess with success ? If Gray wouldnt of fumbled at the 2, nd would of rolled. I think being embarrassed by usf might of been the best for the irish. Next week they will come out and play football. They wont let down the nd faithful, after getting booed out of the stadium.

I don't. I hate ND and thought Saturday was funny (well, other than the fact that it made me look like a total idiot in this thread).
