LSU update: no arrests or suspensions

Les Miles just finished speaking with the media this evening, saying that as of now, he plans to play quarterback Jordan Jefferson in the season opener, and that there have been no changes made to the depth chart.

Miles said the attitude on the field these days is more serious than usual, and he hopes that this issue is not divisive for the community. Miles said he is sick to his stomach and that his guys will work hard to make amends.

Maybe maybe not. The only good thing for LSU is it won't hurt their chances of winning this game if they lose JJ. They'll beat up physically on Oregon with a defense that is better now than what they saw in Aub. Going to be a close good game. I hope he is out where people pound Oregon.

I saw today that a witness is claiming Jefferson kicked one of the victims. You have to wonder if he will play.

The truth will come out. I didn't expect to see any arrests or suspensions because this incident has been sensationalized. They are definitely paying a hefty price for their poor decision of going out that night. However, don't be surprised if they are proven innocent once it goes to court. Suspensions are definitely warranted in this situation no matter what.
